Outlook Express Setup on a PC

 

1) Open the Outlook Express Program by double-clicking on the icon






2) Select the Tools menu and choose Accounts

3) Click the Add button and choose Mail

4) Type your name and click the Next button

5) Type in your email address and click the Next button

6) Use the picture below as your guide for entering settings and click the Next button.
* The incoming mail server needs to reflect your email address. For example if your email account is chet@methownet.com then your incoming mail server will be mail.methownet.com. (If your email address is based on your domain name like chet@hardyboys.com then your incoming mail server will be mail.hardyboys.com)
* The outgoing mail server needs to reflect your internet service provider. Your outgoing mail server will be mail.methownet.com

7) Use the picture below as your guide for entering settings and click the Next button.
*If your email address is methownet your settings will be similar to the picture below. (yourname.methownet)
* If your email address is based off of your domain name then your account name will be different. Ask your website hosting company what your account name is.

8) Click the Finish button.

9) Click the Send/Recv (Send & Receive) button. If all the settings you entered are correct and you have any email, it will appear in your inbox. If you get an error message click on the link below. It will walk you through how to review your settings.
